Test Results
Results will be available on the 13th day after your test date. Refer to Test Results Available on the IELTS Test Dates page for details.
The results will be issued by means of the Test Report Form (TRF). Candidates will only receive one TRF.
Please be aware that IELTS Australia can delay the release of IELTS results, which could add a significant delay in your results being delivered. The test centres has no control over these delays, and will post you the results as soon as possible.
Scores are recorded on an official Test Report Form, showing overall ability as well as performance in listening, reading, writing and speaking. All scores are given on a nine Band scale from non-user to expert user with 'a fully operational command of the language'.
Different institutions have their own entrance requirements and may require minimum scores in particular modules. You are advised to check the score required with the particular institution to which you are applying.
Result Collection
You can receive your results in two ways (you will choose your preference on your Test Day):
- Results can be collected from the centre at Level 1, 11 York Street from 12 noon - 5.00 pm on the13th day after your test date. Results not collected within 5 working days will be posted.
- Results can be posted to your nominated address.
Results will not be given by phone, fax or email.
Provisional Online Results
You can view your provisional test results online on the 13th day after your test.
The provisional online test results are not formal advice of results and comprise only one stage of the results delivery process. Provisional online results must not to be considered as the final test result and cannot be used to support any applications, candidates make to recognising organisations.
Provisional results will only be available online for a period of 28 days.
